By accessing or using DonationPal ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

DonationPal is a donation tracking application that helps users:

• Record and organize charitable donations
• Store photos and descriptions of donated items
• Obtain AI-generated value estimates for tax purposes
• Export records for tax documentation
• Share records with family members

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
• Access is by invitation only; not all registration requests will be approved

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload false or misleading donation records
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Use the Service to commit tax fraud
• Share your account with unauthorized users
• Upload inappropriate or offensive content

• Estimates are generated by third-party AI services
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of any estimate
• You are responsible for verifying values for tax purposes
• Consult a tax professional for official valuations
• The IRS may require professional appraisals for high-value donations

• You retain ownership of content you upload
• You grant us a license to store and process your content to provide the Service
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content
• We may remove content that violates these terms

• You may invite family members to join your family group
• You are responsible for who you invite
• Shared items are visible to all group members
• Only item owners can edit or delete their items

• Free tier includes limited AI analyses per month
• Quotas reset on the first of each month
• Users may add their own API keys for unlimited usage
• Premium features may be offered in the future
• We reserve the right to modify tier limits

The Service integrates with third-party providers:

• OAuth Providers: Google, Microsoft, GitHub for authentication
• AI Services: Ollama, OpenAI, Anthropic for value estimation
• Google Photos: For photo import (optional)

Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:

• Inaccurate AI estimates or valuations
• Tax issues resulting from use of the Service
• Data loss (though we take precautions to prevent it)
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Actions of third-party AI providers

• You may delete your account at any time
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
• Upon termination, your data will be deleted
• Export your data before requesting account deletion

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
